Amar regularly organizes and plays music at Ecstatic Dance events in Brașov and is one of the deejays we enjoy inviting regularly to Bucharest. Amar’s original and often surprising mixes were heard in at our events at Buruiană Community Garden, Vertigo Dance School, at Luminish, Euphonic and Cosmic Waves Festivals.

Amar started his career as a DJ in 2004 and toured Romania with famous soundsystems, bands and DJs of those times. The year 2008 ended with a spiritual awakening, which led him down the path of renunciation. For the next three years he dedicated his life to spiritual quests in an isolated ashram in the mountains of Italy.

His mission later led him to England, where he studied conventional and alternative therapies and encountered Ecstatic Dance in London. In 2018, Amar linked up with URUBU UK, organizer of Ecstatic Dance gatherings, whom he helped create weekly events. Amar refers to Ecstatic Dance as a sacred ceremony and an invitation to dance the entrance to a better life.
