Fatima is a free spirit, traveling around the world. She studied percussion in Cairo as a disciple of a renowned local musician, Khamis Henkesh and soon became popular for her art of playing the darbuka.

After spending two seasons in Goa and Bali with DJ Tikki Masala, she started her own Ecstatic Dance sessions in Budapest with her team. Her sets are accompanied by drums and flute, and her journeys are full of energy, but also deep and emotional, always offering a take-home message.

Originally from Algeria, Fatima also plays bamboo flutes of all kinds, composes music and performs with Kaya Project and The Spy from Cairo – you may have seen her at Dakini in 2019.
